Johnny Depp met his future partner/wife – Amber Heard – on the set of the movie The Rum Diary (2011), which was adapted from the early work of Hunter S. Thompson, who has been Depp’s long-admired paternal figure. This marriage ended up being a huge disaster/divorce since Amber abused the leverage of “me, too” to destroy his reputation and career until he retrieved all that in the summer of 2022 at court.
Metaphorically speaking, Depp’s rum journey with Heard led to a symbolic diarrhea in his personal life, where he got cheated and humiliated relentlessly as the bed they used to share was cruelly contaminated with feces.
